A faction of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by Nyesom Wike, Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has approved the expulsion of several Governors and key party figures over alleged anti-party activities.
Gatekeepers News reports that the decision affects Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo; Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi; Dauda Lawal, Governor of Zamfara; former Board of Trustees Chair Adolphus Wabara; former Minister Kabiru Tanimu Turaki; Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja, among others.
The expulsions were ratified during the 103rd meeting of PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) held on Tuesday at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
Acting National Chairman Mohammed Abdulrahman stated that the measures were taken due to repeated violations of existing court orders.
