Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reported that the country’s crude oil and condensate output declined to 1.58 million barrels per day in October 2025.

Gatekeepers News reports that the figure, released in the company’s Monthly Report Summary, represents a slight fall from the 1.61 million bpd recorded in September.

According to the report, natural gas production rose to 6.99 million standard cubic feet per day, up from 6.28 million scfd in the previous month.

NNPC added that its profit after tax grew to N447 billion, more than double the N216 billion posted in September. Total revenue for the month stood at N5.07 trillion, reflecting all group earnings, including intercompany transactions.

NNPC explained that crude volumes were affected by ongoing maintenance across major facilities such as Stardeep-Agbami, Esso-Erha, Renaissance-EA, OML 42, Usan, and assets operated by Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU).

It also cited delayed start-up at WEAP’s OML 71 and 72 and flooding-related well shut-ins in OML 143. The company said it expects full restoration of output by mid-December as scheduled maintenance is completed.

On gas infrastructure, NNPC reported accelerated work on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline, noting that additional resources have been deployed to keep the project on track for mainline completion before the end of 2025.

For the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) River Niger crossing, it said preparatory work is progressing according to a revised execution plan.
