Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its petrol gantry price from N828 to N699 per litre.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to real-time market data from Petroleumprice.ng on Friday, this marks a significant N129 cut or 15.58 per cent reduction.
The latest reduction follows remarks by Dangote Petroleum Chairman, Aliko Dangote, during a closed-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on December 6, where he reaffirmed the company’s commitment to maintaining competitive domestic fuel prices despite global market volatility and ongoing smuggling challenges along Nigeria’s borders.
He added that petroleum products, including diesel and petrol, would continue to be sold at reasonable prices and stressed that the refinery’s $20 billion investment is long-term.
