Edo State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Danjuma Garba Binkola, Special Adviser to the Governor on Arewa Community Relations.

Gatekeepers News reports that in condolences was conveyed statement signed by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Saturday, 10 January, 2026,

The government described Garba Binkola as a dedicated grassroots mobilizer and welfarist who devoted his life to the wellbeing of the Arewa Communities across Edo State’s eighteen local government areas. His work, the statement said, extended to all residents of the state, regardless of religion, tribe, belief, or political affiliation.

The statement added that Garba Binkola, a key political aide to Governor Monday Okpebholo, was committed to the success of the administration and worked tirelessly to implement policies and programmes that improved lives across the state. His loyalty, humility, and dedication to public service, the government said, would be fondly remembered by all who worked with him.

The Edo State Government extended condolences to his immediate family, the Arewa community, friends, and associates, praying that Almighty God grants him eternal rest and gives his loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
