The Nigeria Senate has passed the Electoral Act amendment bill.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Lawmakers devoted the entire sitting to the bill, which was listed as the sole business on the order paper following a valedictory session held in honour of the late Okey Ezea.
During the session, members moved into a committee of the whole, where they meticulously reviewed all 155 clauses of the proposed legislation.
Following detailed discussions, questions, and adjustments on each section, the Senate considered and adopted every clause before giving final approval to the amended bill.
