Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor re-assignment of key officials in the State’s revenue sector in order to sustain and strengthen the State’s revenue drive.
Gatekeepers News reports that following this development, the current Chairman of the Edo State Audit Service Commission, Mr. Odior John Osirenimhe, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS).
According to a statement by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Wednesday, Osirenimhe succeeds Hon. Otunba Oladele Bankole-Balogun, who has resigned from the position to pursue his aspiration in the forthcoming elections.
Consequently, Mr. Idiake Patrick Akhimien, who currently serves as an Executive Director in the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, has been re-assigned to the Edo State Audit Service Commission as its Chairman.
In addition, Mr. Victor Oamen Enemare has been appointed to replace Mr. Idiake Patrick Akhimien at the Edo State Internal Revenue Service.
The state government noted that the re-assignments and appointment take immediate effect.
