Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has refuted reports circulating online that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has been postponed.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement released, the examination body described the notice as fake and urged candidates and the public to disregard it. JAMB clarified that no official announcement has been made regarding any change to the UTME schedule.

The board stressed that all updates concerning the examination would only be communicated through its verified channels, warning candidates against relying on unverified information from social media or unofficial sources.

JAMB also advised candidates to remain focused on their preparations and adhere to the originally scheduled examination timetable, noting that the spread of false information could cause unnecessary confusion and panic.
