Ayra Starr To Drop Third Album

Ayra Starr has announced that her third studio album, Starr Girl, will be released in July.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the Grammy-nominated artiste revealed the release date during a guest appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she spoke about the project as a defining moment in her artistic journey.

Describing the album as deeply personal, the 23-year-old said it reflects her growth, intention, and dedication to her sound.

“My album, ‘Starr Girl’ — that’s me, by the way — drops in July,” she said. “I am so proud of this body of work. I put everything into it, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”

Starr Girl will follow her earlier projects, 19 & Dangerous and The Year I Turned 21, which helped solidify her place in the global music scene.

Born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, Ayra Starr rose to prominence in 2021 with her breakout hit Bloody Samaritan. She was discovered by music executive Don Jazzy and is signed to Mavin Records.

Since her debut, she has gained international recognition, earning multiple awards and nominations. At the 2025 MOBO Awards, she made history as the first African female to win Best International Act, while also picking up Best African Music Act.

She was also nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards in the Best African Music Performance category, though she lost the award to South Africa’s Tyla.
