Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has urged Muslim faithful to use the spiritual significance of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for lasting peace, unity, and progress in Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement issued to commemorate the Sallah celebration, the governor extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Anambra State and across the country.

Soludo noted that Eid-el-Kabir carries deep universal lessons that emphasise obedience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the will of God as well as the collective good of humanity.

The governor also stressed the importance of sharing with others, extending acts of charity, and promoting mutual tolerance and peaceful coexistence among citizens regardless of ethnic or religious differences.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Anambra State and ensuring an atmosphere where residents can celebrate peacefully during the festive season and beyond.

Soludo further wished Muslim faithful a joyous Barka da Sallah, praying that the blessings of the season would bring peace, happiness, prosperity, and joy to every home.

Also speaking, Alhaji Bukar Hassan thanked Almighty Allah for preserving the lives of Muslim faithful throughout the fasting period.

Alhaji Hassan, who is the developer of the Anambra State International Market in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, prayed for Allah’s abundant blessings upon Nigerians amid prevailing economic and social challenges in the country.

Similarly, Chief Dozie Nwankwo extended his goodwill to Muslim faithful, praying for God’s grace, protection, and blessings during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration and beyond.

Nwankwo also offered prayers for Nigerian children as they marked this year’s Children’s Day celebration on May 27, wishing them a joyful and fulfilling future.
