President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and his wife, Professor Idia Ize-Iyamu, on the occasion of their birthdays, describing them as distinguished Nigerians whose lives reflect service, leadership, and commitment to national development.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a congratulatory message issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised the couple for their contributions in public service, politics, and healthcare.

Tinubu commended Pastor Ize-Iyamu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for his role in Nigeria’s democratic development since the return to civilian rule in 1999. He noted that the former Secretary to the Edo State Government, former Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, and former South-South Vice-Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has remained committed to public service and democratic ideals.

The President also lauded Professor Idia Ize-Iyamu, Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, for her contributions to healthcare delivery and medical excellence in Nigeria.

According to Tinubu, her leadership and dedication to the medical profession have positively impacted the health sector and improved the lives of many Nigerians.

“As a chieftain of the APC, former Secretary to Edo State Government, former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Edo State, and former Vice-Chairman (South-South) of the defunct ACN, Pastor Ize-Iyamu has consistently demonstrated dedication to public service and the advancement of democratic ideals,” the President said.

Speaking on Professor Ize-Iyamu’s achievements, Tinubu said her commitment to medical excellence and service to humanity has strengthened healthcare delivery across the country.

The President prayed for continued good health, wisdom, strength, and greater accomplishments for the couple as they celebrate another birthday together.

“May your lives continue to inspire service, excellence, and positive impact on generations to come,” he added.
