Police Seize Truck Carrying Military Campuflage – Arrest 3 Suspects

Lagos State Police Command has intercepted a truck allegedly transporting military camouflage uniforms and dozens of cartons of illicit substances to Nigeria’s south-east region, leading to the arrest of three suspects.

Gatekeepers News reports that speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday, Lagos Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, said the vehicle was stopped by operatives along the Lekki-Epe corridor while heading out of Lagos.

According to the police chief, officers recovered military camouflage uniforms alongside 80 cartons of suspected illicit substances from the truck.

The police commissioner said preliminary investigations indicated that the uniforms were being transported to the eastern part of the country.

He added that detectives have launched a full-scale investigation to determine the source of the items, identify their owners, and uncover those who were meant to receive them.

Fatai noted that the three arrested suspects are currently in custody and assisting investigators. He said authorities are also working to establish whether other individuals were involved in the operation.

The police assured the public that efforts are ongoing to dismantle any criminal network linked to the recovered items and bring all those responsible to justice.
