16-Year-Old Osasere Okundaye Sets New Record As Nigeria’s Youngest Chartered Accountant

A 16-year-old student, Osasere Okundaye, has made history by becoming the youngest chartered accountant in Nigeria, earning national recognition for her academic achievement.

Gatekeepers News reports that the milestone was celebrated by the Federal Government, with the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, describing the feat as a reflection of the talent and potential of Nigerian youths.

He commended Okundaye for her dedication, discipline and commitment to excellence, noting that her success demonstrates what young Nigerians can achieve with determination and support.

According to the minister, the teenager has become a source of inspiration for young people across the country, proving that age is not a barrier to outstanding accomplishments. He also praised her parents, teachers and mentors for the guidance and encouragement that contributed to her success.

Olawande said the achievement reinforces confidence in the future of Nigeria’s youth and aligns with the government’s efforts to promote programmes that empower young people to realise their full potential.

Okundaye’s accomplishment comes a year after another young Nigerian, Temilola Blossom Arise, gained attention for passing the professional examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria at the age of 18.
