Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has commenced its 2025 promotion exercise for more than 13,000 civil servants following the approval of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Gatekeepers News reports that the exercise, which began on July 1, will run for 10 days and covers staff of the FCTA and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) across about 150 cadres and grade levels.
Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, said the exercise is aimed at strengthening the public service and ensuring eligible officers receive due career progression. He added that all necessary arrangements had been put in place to guarantee a smooth and transparent process.
Ezeh also disclosed that Wike directed the commission to conclude the 2026 promotion exercise before the end of the year to ensure that no qualified officer is denied advancement. He urged participants to cooperate with officials and expressed confidence in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system being used for the assessment.
The commission noted that the adoption of CBT for promotion examinations has improved transparency, credibility and efficiency in the FCT civil service promotion process.
