Rotary Club of Ikeja Golden Impact has ushered in a new era following the successful transition of leadership from its Charter President, Rtn. Teniola Ogundeji, who concluded her historic tenure after leading the club from its inception.
Gatekeepers News reports that since receiving its charter on January 6, 2025, the club has experienced significant growth under Ogundeji’s leadership. She spearheaded the development of the club’s governance framework, strengthened membership engagement, fostered strategic partnerships, and championed impactful humanitarian projects that have positioned the club as an emerging force within Rotary District 9111.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ogundeji reflected on the significance of the journey and the importance of institution building.
“True leadership is measured not by how long one serves, but by the strength of the foundation left behind. It has been a privilege to serve as Charter President, and I am proud that together we have built a club that will continue creating meaningful impact for years to come.”
Throughout her administration, the Rotary Club of Ikeja Golden Impact executed a wide range of service initiatives spanning youth empowerment, digital literacy, health advocacy and medical outreaches, environmental sustainability, peacebuilding, community engagement, and collaborative fellowship activities. The club also maintained an active presence across Rotary District 9111 programmes, reinforcing its commitment to Rotary’s ideals of service above self.
With the commencement of a new Rotary year under the international theme, “Create Lasting Impact,” Ogundeji expressed optimism about the club’s future and encouraged members to sustain the culture of service, innovation, and excellence established during the founding administration.
Outside Rotary, Ogundeji continues to make significant contributions to business and international engagement. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kairos World Travels, a leading Nigerian travel management company providing corporate travel solutions, MICE services, visa advisory, and international group travel experiences.
Her growing international profile also includes serving as Vice Chairman of the Rotary Global Friendship Exchange, while actively participating in global business and tourism platforms that promote stronger partnerships between Africa and the international community.
As she embarks on the next phase of her leadership journey, Ogundeji remains committed to advancing initiatives that foster tourism, trade, investment, and cross-border collaboration, with a vision of connecting people and opportunities while contributing to sustainable development across Africa and beyond.
