Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-time partner, Georgina Rodriguez, have married, according to representatives of the Portuguese football star.
Gatekeepers News reports that Ronaldo, 41, announced the marriage on Tuesday by sharing a photograph of the couple’s hands, showing their wedding bands, on Instagram. He captioned the post: “C (heart) G”.
The wedding ceremony was held in the Portuguese coastal resort of Cascais, near Lisbon, according to the Brunswick Group, which manages Ronaldo’s public relations.
The couple’s five children attended the “private and intimate” ceremony, the agency said.
The marriage comes exactly one year after Rodriguez, a 32-year-old influencer, announced their engagement on Instagram.
Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr and represented Portugal at the World Cup this summer.
The 41-year-old forward previously starred for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus and has won the Ballon d’Or, awarded to the world’s best footballer, five times.
