EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede says the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission recovered more than N1.23 trillion and $684 million between October 2023 and June 2026.

Gatekeepers News reports that Olukoyede disclosed this on Monday in Abuja while briefing media executives and journalists on the commission’s achievements during the period.

According to him, the EFCC recovered N1,233,612,040,411.11 and $684,478,457.32, alongside £373,905.78 and €9.34 million.

He added that the commission secured 10,872 convictions within the 33-month period.

Olukoyede said N397.26 billion, representing 33 percent of the naira recoveries, constituted direct recoveries for the Federal Government, while N836.34 billion was recovered indirectly on behalf of government ministries, departments and agencies.

He said the figures reflected the commission’s intensified efforts to combat economic and financial crimes and strengthen asset recovery.
