Dangote Cement Plc is set to take its investment story to the international market as the company prepares to engage global investors in London on the same day Nigeria returns to the FTSE Russell Frontier Market indices.
Gatekeepers News reports that the cement manufacturer will host a Capital Market Day in London on September 21, providing international investors with an opportunity to hear from its management on the company’s financial performance, business strategy and expansion plans.
The engagement comes as Nigeria prepares to regain frontier-market status under FTSE Russell, a move expected to renew global investor interest in the country’s equities and potentially boost foreign capital inflows.
As one of the largest companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange, Dangote Cement is among the major Nigerian equities that could benefit from increased international visibility following the reclassification.
The London event also comes as the company advances plans for a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange.
Shareholders have already approved the proposed listing, paving the way for Dangote Cement to deepen its access to international capital markets and broaden its investor base.
The company enters the investor engagement on the back of strong financial performance in the first half of 2026.
Dangote Cement reported revenue of N2.51 trillion for the six-month period, representing a 21.4 per cent increase from the N2.07 trillion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
Profit before tax rose by 34.4 per cent to N981.39 billion, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 25.8 per cent to N1.19 trillion.
Earnings per share also climbed by 24.3 per cent to N38.22.
The company’s export business recorded notable growth during the period, with cement and clinker exports from Nigeria rising by 62.3 per cent to 1.1 million tonnes.
Ghana, Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire were among the West African markets that recorded increased volumes from Nigeria.
At group level, Dangote Cement’s sales volumes rose by 11.8 per cent to 14.94 million tonnes during the period.
The company’s stock has also maintained a strong performance on the Nigerian Exchange, gaining about 69.79 per cent since the start of the year to trade at N1,034 per share, according to BusinessDay.
With Nigeria returning to FTSE Russell’s frontier-market indices and Dangote Cement seeking deeper engagement with international investors, the London Capital Market Day is expected to further strengthen the company’s visibility among global investors.
The event could also reinforce Dangote Cement’s broader ambition of positioning itself as one of Africa’s leading investment opportunities.
