The family of Chief Daniel Osi Orbih has announced the funeral arrangements for the late politician and community leader, with ceremonies scheduled to take place in Abuja and Ogbona, Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.

Gatekeepers News reports that according to a statement signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, on behalf of the Orbih family, the funeral ceremonies will commence on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with a Requiem Mass at the Catholic Church of the Assumption, 2 Kwame Nkrumah Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja, at 4:00 p.m.

The Mass will be followed by a Night of Tributes at 7:00 p.m. at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Garki, Abuja.

On Friday, October 9, the remains of Chief Orbih will arrive at the Benin Airport before proceeding to his residence and thereafter to Ogbona.

A Vigil Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, Ogbona.

The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, at the same church, while the ceremonies will conclude on Sunday, October 11, with a Thanksgiving Mass at 10:00 a.m.

The family described Chief Orbih as a man whose life was marked by generosity and a deep commitment to family, community and humanity.

It said his memories and legacy of service and benevolence would remain a source of comfort to his family, community and others whose lives he touched.

The family also expressed appreciation for the prayers, condolences, visits and other forms of support received since his death, while inviting friends, associates and well-wishers to join them in celebrating his life and bidding him farewell.
