Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has expressed his deep condolences over the murder of the District Head of Gatawa, Alhaji Isa Mohammed Bawa, by his kidnappers.

Gatekeepers News reports that the governor described the circumstances surrounding the monarch’s death as “unfortunate, barbaric, inhumane, and condemnable.”

Governor Aliyu praised the late district head as a “pious, upright, honest, and peace-loving personality” who dedicated his life to serving his people and humanity.

He prayed for the deceased to be admitted to the best of Paradise and for his family and the people of Sabon Birni Local Government to find the strength to bear the loss.

The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to ending banditry in the state, appealing for public support and cooperation with security agencies.

He also called for intensified security efforts to secure the state and bring the perpetrators to justice.
