Police has rescued eight kidnap victims in Zamfara state.
Gatekeepers News reports that Zamfara State Police Command has secured the release of eight abducted victims.
The victims were abducted on 25th August, 2021, at Kangon Sabuwa in Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ayuba Elkanah, he said the victims were abducted and taken to Kungurmi bandits’ camp.
He noted that they were rescued safely by the police without any financial involvement.
“The abducted victims were medically checked by the medical officials, debriefed by the Police and reunited with their families,” he said.
Elkanah assured the people of Zamfara State that the Command in Collaboration with other security agencies was intensifying different search and rescue strategies that will lead to the unconditional rescue of other victims.
He also called on members of the public to improve their cooperation and collaboration with the Police and other security agencies in an effort to restore lasting peace and security in the State.
Elkanah said, “any vital information frоm the public would help the security operatives in fishing out the unrepentant bandits in the State.”
He called on the residents to “report any suspected movement of any bandit, including the informants, so as to track them before they carryout their dastardly acts.”
