Michael K Williams Is Dead

Michael K Williams popularly known as the Wire actor has been found dead in his New York home on Monday.

Gatekeepers News reports that police in New York have confirmed that the Wire actor Michael K Williams has died at the age of 54.

Police after announcing that they found the lifeless body of Williams at his Brooklyn home at around 2 pm (UK) on Monday, noted that investigation is ongoing.

The popular Omar Little cast in the hit TV series, was nominated at this year’s Emmy awards for his part in HBO’s Lovecraft Country.

Williams also won fans for his role as Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire.

The long-time representative Marianna Shafran of Shafran PR told The Hollywood Reporter that, “It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Emmy nominated actor Michael Kenneth Williams. They ask for your privacy while grieving this unsurmountable loss.”

Filmmaker James Gunn while paying tribute to Williams, said he was among the “most gentle souls I’ve ever met”.

Gunn tweeted: “Michael K Williams, in addition to being one of the most talented actors around, was also one of the kindest, sweetest, most gentle souls I’ve ever met. This is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with all those who loved him.”
