Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe, wife of Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and former Chairman of GZ Industries (GZI), has passed away.
Gatekeepers News reports that Gbemisola passed away at the age of 63 on March 11, 2025, after a brief illness.
The deceased family announced her passing in a statement released by Mrs Olanike Anani on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
They expressed gratitude for the support received and requested privacy as they prepared to honour her life.
The family said details of funeral and memorial services will be announced later.
The deceased is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
The statement reads, “ It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and pillar of strength to our family. She departed this world peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.”
