Rivers state government has insisted that the N300 million paid to Nigerian Bar Association (NB) was for hosting rights of the 2025 annual general conference (AGC).
Gatekeepers News reports that the state government, under the leadership of Ibok-Ete Ibas, the sole administrator, refuted NBA’s claim that the payment was a gift.
The state government also threatened to take legal action against NBA.
