Tinubu Celebrates NNPC Boss – Ojulari At 60

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Bayo Ojulari, group chief executive officer (GCEO) of Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, on his 60th birthday.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement on Tuesday, Tinubu praised Ojulari for his transformative leadership in the country’s energy sector, describing him as an accomplished professional whose career has been defined by transformative and visionary leadership.

Before his appointment as GCEO of NNPC in April 2025, Ojulari held executive roles at Renaissance Africa Energy Company and served as managing director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) from 2015 to 2021.

Tinubu expressed confidence in Ojulari’s ability to reposition NNPC as a transparent, world-class national energy company, capable of ensuring energy security and driving economic growth in Nigeria.

He also highlighted recent improvements in Nigeria’s oil production under Ojulari’s leadership, noting an increase from 1.5 million barrels per day to 1.7 million barrels per day within two months.

The president expressed optimism that the country would hit its 1.9 million barrels per day target by year-end.

Tinubu added, “You have your work clearly defined before you. As head of NNPC Limited, your mission is to win investor confidence and ensure that NNPC becomes a key driver of Nigeria’s economic growth.”
