Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI) has marked a significant milestone in its quest to provide cleaner and more affordable energy to Nigerians with the commissioning of the Greenville Liquefied and Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) facility in Yola, Adamawa State.

The event, which also featured the state-wide rollout of the PCNGI Conversion Incentive Program, was attended by prominent dignitaries, including representatives of the Adamawa State Governor, the Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, and the Program Director of PCNGI, Engr. Michael Oluwagbemi.

According to Engr. Oluwagbemi, the initiative has made significant progress nationwide, with over 250 conversion centers established, more than 50,000 CNG vehicles in use, over 55 operational stations, and the creation of more than 10,000 direct jobs, supported by $500 million in investments.

The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to industrialize Nigeria through the use of domestic gas resources. With this development, citizens in Adamawa State and beyond can look forward to accessing cleaner, more affordable energy solutions.
