PDP Has Reached Out To Peter Obi – Jerry Gana

Jerry Gana, a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has disclosed that the party has initiated discussions with Peter Obi regarding a potential return.

Gatekeepers Newreports that Gana made this statement during an appearance on AIT’s program, Focus Nigeria, on Friday.

Peter Obi, who was a prominent candidate in the 2023 presidential elections representing the Labour Party (LP), had previously resigned from the PDP on May 25, 2022.

His departure from the party occurred just days before its presidential primary, with Obi citing “recent developments in the party” as a reason for his decision, indicating that they did not facilitate constructive contributions.

When asked if the party had spoken with Obi about returning, Gana responded, “Why not?”

Gana added, “He [Obi] is not the only person. We are also moving to other persons. But I don’t want to announce until we really get there.

“I have a very solid platform. I can now go back to these people and say the platform you were complaining about is now set, proper, and ready to move. I know many of them would respond.”
