President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the renewal of the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) for a second and final tenure of four (4) years.
Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations for Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Wednesday.
Imohiosen noted that the appointment is in accordance with the provisions of Section 93 of the Electricity Act, 2023.
The President urged Yelwa to consolidate on the gains recorded by the Commission and bring greater innovation and dedication to the discharge of its mandate.
