Infidelity: Anambra First Lady Threatens Lawsuit – Challenges Ekwunife To DNA Test

Nonye Soludo, wife of Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has threatened to sue Uche Ekwunife, a former senator, over allegations of infidelity.

Gatekeepers News reports that Ekwunife, who is the deputy governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming Anambra election, alleged in a viral video that the governor and his wife were part of the late Chinwoke Mbadinuju’s administration, which she claimed failed the state between 1999 and 2003.

In a statement on Saturday, the Governor’s wife said the ex-senator was spreading malicious claims about her family, warning that unless the comments were withdrawn within 72 hours, legal steps would follow.

Nonye Soludo insisted that her patience was tested after her children were dragged into the controversy, stressing that the attacks were aimed at inflicting personal damage.

She said, “One, I have never worked for anyone in my life. I have always been a professional and an entrepreneur. Two, I never met Dr. Mbadinuju in my life. Three, in my 55 years, I have known only one man — Chukwuma Soludo.”

The first lady added that although many urged her to ignore the allegations, she was prepared for a long-distance marathon against the former senator, while maintaining that her response would be guided by decency, character, and grace.

The Anambra first lady also emphasised her quiet lifestyle, noting that she had never depended on public funds. She said, “I have known only one man, Chukwuma Soludo, whom I married as a virgin, and I remain faithful after 33 years of marriage.”

She challenged Ekwunife to take an oath of fidelity and chastity before the Catholic Church and proposed a DNA test for both families in three London hospitals, offering to cover all expenses.

She added, “If the results confirm your husband is the father of all your children, I will congratulate you with a cash award.”

Dismissing the allegations against her husband, she described them as laughable outbursts of frustration, stressing that Governor Soludo was too clean and too sophisticated to be dragged into such claims.
