American rapper Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, popularly known as Cardi B, has revealed she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs.
Gatekeepers News reports that she made the announcement in a pre-taped interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.
The rapper said she feels excited, very strong, and empowered. She also spoke about balancing motherhood with work on her forthcoming album ‘Am I the Drama?’, due this week.
She said, “It’s coming before my tour”, referring to her North American tour set for February 2026. She said Diggs makes her feel safe and confident, especially during stressful moments like her album rollout.
Cardi B also revealed that she waited to reveal the news because she wanted to close some deals first, make sure some personal and professional matters were in order, and be sure the baby was healthy.
She added, “I just was like, ‘Can I just say it on my own time? Like, I’m not hiding’”.
Cardi B has three children; Kulture, Wave, and Blossom with her ex-husband Offset. Diggs has a daughter named Nova from a previous relationship.
