Disc jockey and philanthropist, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has shared her reflections on marriage following the lavish wedding of her sister, Temi Otedola, to singer Mr Eazi.
Gatekeepers News reports that the couple recently sealed their union in a globe-trotting three-part celebration across Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland — a series of events that Cuppy described as reaffirming her belief in the institution of marriage.
In a post via X, DJ Cuppy said that while some may consider her views “old school,” she sees marriage as the “most powerful partnership and most important contract” in life.
“Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign…with God Himself as the witness,” she wrote.
“Seeing my baby sister Temi become Mrs Ajibade reminds me that marriage is far from outdated. With the right person, it pulls you closer to purpose and builds love, family, and legacy,” she added.
Cuppy’s comments come amid her own history of high-profile relationships. In December 2022, she confirmed her engagement to British boxer Ryan Taylor after just 25 days of meeting him. By July 2023, however, reports suggested the pair had gone their separate ways.
In 2024, the entertainer admitted she regretted accepting Taylor’s proposal, noting that the relationship did not work out as she had hoped.
