Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River and Lagos House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa have congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a message released by his chief press secretary, Linus Obogo, Governor Otu described Mrs. Tinubu as a woman of grace, compassion, and strength whose life continues to inspire many.

He said her story is marked by courage and service, adding that she remains a symbol of virtuous womanhood. He prayed for her good health, joy, and long life.

The Governor also commended her contributions to nation-building, especially her dedication to empowering women, families, and young people. He extended warm wishes from the people of Cross River state, hoping she enjoys many more years of impactful service.

In a separate statement signed by his chief press secretary, Dave Agboola, Speaker Obasa described the first lady as the
Mother of the Nation.

He praised her service from her time as Lagos’ first lady to her tenure as a three-term senator and now as Nigeria’s first lady.

Obasa highlighted her selfless leadership and support for President Bola Tinubu’s vision, noting that her initiatives now reach across the country, tackling issues affecting women, youth, and vulnerable groups.

The speaker said, “Her work is not only about policies but about real change in people’s lives.” He added that history would remember her for her empathy, resilience, and commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.
