President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has travelled out of Lagos to Europe for his end-of-year break, according to the presidency.
Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement issued on Sunday, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said the President will later proceed from Europe to the United Arab Emirates to attend the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit scheduled for early January.
Onanuga said Tinubu was invited by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to participate in the summit.
The statement added, “The weeklong summit is an annual event that mobilises leaders from government, business, and society to chart the next era of sustainable development.”
“With the theme ‘The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go’, ADSW will connect ambition with action across innovation, finance, and people, showcasing how the world can move forward with confidence.”
The presidency noted that President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
