The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced plans to deport Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, a Nigerian national convicted of armed robbery and involvement in illicit drug trade.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement released on Monday, the agency said Ijaoba was formerly linked to the Bloods, a street gang known for violent criminal activities.

ICE said he entered the United States illegally and was later found guilty of several offences, including armed robbery and assault on a police officer.

The agency said, “Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba is a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria and former member of the Bloods – a notoriously violent street gang.”

“He entered illegally and then racked up an extensive rap sheet that includes convictions for: Aggravated assault on a police officer with a firearm; assault & aggravated assault; armed robbery; obstruction; drug sales; and escaping police custody.”

“He has a final removal order and awaits deportation in ICE custody.”

Meanwhile, Federal Bureau of Investigation recently arrested another Nigerian, Oluwadamilola Ogooluwa Bamigboye, over allegations of evading arrest and abducting an immigration officer.

Bamigboye and an accomplice, Rekeya Frazier, have been arraigned in court on charges related to assaulting a federal agent. Authorities also accused Bamigboye of overstaying his student visa.
