Commissioner Kwabo Shares N30m And 500 Bags Of Rice With APC Members In Sokoto

Sokoto State Commissioner for Innovation and Digital Economy, Hon. Bashar Ummarun Kwabo A.A, has distributed the sum of Thirty Million Naira (₦30,000,000.00) alongside Five Hundred (500) bags of rice to politicians.

Gatekeepers News reports that the relief items benefited particularly All Progressives Congress (APC) executives across the 24 Wards of both Sokoto North Local Government Area and Sokoto South Local Government Area, as well as numerous well-wishers.

The humanitarian intervention, carried out in the spirit of compassion and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan, underscores the Commissioner’s unwavering commitment to grassroots support and community development.

In an interview with the Sokoto State Media Corporation, Hon. Kwabo stated:

“I was influenced by several calls made by the leader of our great party, Distinguished Senator Dr. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (Sarkin Yamman Sakkwato), as well as his protégé, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, FCNA, ACIT, FNCS, urging the privileged to show compassion to the less privileged, especially in this holy month of Ramadan.”

Hon. Kwabo further emphasised that his gesture aligns with his personal and family heritage of service: “This may not come as surprising, considering my social background, having come from a highly distinguished and well-respected family in our society — the family of Alhaji Dr. Ummarun Kwabo A.A, MFR (Jarman Sokoto), who devoted his entire life to the service of humanity and religion across not only Sokoto State but the nation as a whole. He also held various political leadership positions, particularly in the North-Western region of this country since the First Republic, during the era of late President Shehu Shagari, GCFR (Turakin Sokoto).”

Several high-profile dignitaries attended the distribution ceremony. His Excellency, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, FCNA, ACIT, FNCS, was represented by Barr. Ibrahim Gandi, mni, Senior Special Assistant to the Sokoto State Government on Administration and Legal Matters.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Chairman of Sokoto North Local Government Council, Hon. Jamilu Umar Gosta; Sokoto APC Chairman, Hon. Murtala Hassan; Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Hon. Nasir Bazza; Senior Special Assistant on Strategic Communications, Hon.
