The Los Angeles home of pop superstar Rihanna was struck by gunfire on Sunday after a woman allegedly opened fire on the property while the singer was reportedly inside, according to US media reports.
Gatekeepers News reports that the shooting occurred shortly after 1:00 pm (2000 GMT) when a suspect fired about 10 rounds from a vehicle parked across the street from the mansion in the Beverly Hills area, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing police sources.
At least one bullet pierced a wall of the residence where Rihanna lives with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children, local television station KTLA reported. The singer was said to be inside the house at the time of the incident.
Rihanna, one of the world’s most prominent pop stars, has not publicly commented on the shooting.
Police said the suspect, described as a woman in her 30s, fled the scene after the shooting but was later arrested without incident a short time afterward. Authorities also recovered a weapon during the arrest, according to KTLA.
Investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the attack.
