Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has begun releasing results for candidates who sat the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on April 20, as the nationwide exercise continues in batches.
Gatekeepers News reports that the examination body disclosed that results from some sessions conducted on April 20 have already been processed and made available, while others are being finalised. The board explained that the staggered release is due to its policy of compiling results only after all sessions for the day are completed.
JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, stated that candidates who participated in the earlier sessions of the day could already access their results, while the remaining results would be released later after full processing.
The development comes after the board earlier released results for candidates who wrote the exam on April 16, 17, and 18, with over 1.8 million results made available so far.
JAMB also reiterated that candidates can check their results using the official SMS method by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used during registration.
The UTME, which is Nigeria’s central admission examination into tertiary institutions, is being conducted in phases across accredited computer-based test centres nationwide, with millions of candidates expected to participate in the 2026 exercise.
The board added that more results will continue to be released as the examination progresses.
