Thirteen House of Representatives candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have received their nomination forms from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), formally confirming their participation in the 2027 general elections.
Gatekeepers News reports that the development marks the completion of the screening and documentation process for most federal constituencies in the state as the APC moves to finalise its preparations ahead of the polls.
However, the party is yet to conclude the selection process for the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency, where a candidate has not been officially confirmed.
The delay is said to have prompted consultations within the party as stakeholders work towards resolving the outstanding issue.
Party sources said the issuance of nomination forms represents a key procedural requirement by INEC for political parties before the deadline for the submission of candidates for the 2027 general elections.
With 13 candidates now cleared to proceed, attention has shifted to the unresolved Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency, where the APC is expected to announce its candidate after concluding ongoing internal consultations.
The party is expected to intensify discussions and resolve all pending matters as political activities gather momentum across Oyo State ahead of the elections.
