The air component of Operation Hadin Kai has killed no fewer than 12 suspected insurgents and destroyed a concealed terrorist hideout during a precision airstrike in Borno State, as part of ongoing military operations against insurgent groups in the North-East.
Gatekeepers News reports rhat according to military sources, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) assets identified suspicious activities around the terrorist enclave before the airstrike was authorised.
Fighter aircraft subsequently launched precision-guided missiles on the target, destroying the hideout and killing at least 12 insurgents. A post-strike battle damage assessment confirmed that the structure was razed, with secondary explosions indicating the destruction of terrorist logistics and equipment.
The operation forms part of sustained air interdiction efforts under Operation Hadin Kai aimed at degrading terrorist infrastructure, disrupting insurgents’ freedom of movement and preventing attacks across the North-East. Military authorities said air and ground troops will continue coordinated offensives to dismantle terrorist strongholds in the region.
Although the security situation in the theatre has remained relatively stable in recent days, military sources noted that the threat posed by insurgent groups remains unpredictable due to their fluid movement.
They stressed that surveillance and offensive operations would be sustained to deny terrorists safe havens and restore lasting security in affected communities.
