Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun, the husband of former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has died at the age of 62.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Adeosun family announced his passing in a statement released on Thursday, saying he died on Wednesday, August 5, in Lagos State. The statement described him as a distinguished businessman and devoted Christian whose life was marked by integrity, generosity and steadfast faith.
According to the family, the late Anthony Adeosun was widely respected for his commitment to God, his family and the community. They said he lived a life defined by hard work and service, touching the lives of many through his character and selflessness.
The family also said funeral and Christian burial arrangements would be announced in due course. He is survived by his wife, Kemi Adeosun, his children and siblings, including Kuramo Capital founder Adewale Adeosun.
Kemi Adeosun served as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance under former President Muhammadu Buhari between 2015 and 2018. Before joining the Federal Executive Council, she was Commissioner for Finance in Ogun State and later chaired the Board of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).
