The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Thursday, September 3, 2026, as the official pass-out date for members of the 2025 Batch B Stream II.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the announcement was contained in a statement signed by Caroline Embu, NYSC director of information and public relations, and published on the scheme’s official X account on Monday.

According to the NYSC management, the corps members will officially complete their one-year national service on the scheduled date.

“Certificates of National Service would be distributed to Corps Members on the scheduled date at the Local Government level,” the statement said.

The scheme urged corps members, employers and other stakeholders to take note of the date and make the necessary arrangements.

The 2025 Batch B Stream II commenced its service year following orientation exercises held across the country in September 2025.

The orientation courses opened nationwide on September 24, with registration continuing until September 26, while the three-week orientation camp ended on October 14, 2025, although Kwara State operated a slightly different schedule.

Following the orientation exercise, the corps members proceeded to their primary places of assignment and participated in various community development activities as part of the mandatory national service programme.

NYSC pass-out ceremonies are generally conducted as low-key events at the local government level, rather than through large-scale parades.

The scheme is currently headed by Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu as director-general.

The announcement comes weeks after members of the 2025 Batch B Stream I completed their national service on July 9, 2026.
