Birthday: Akpabio Celebrates Shettima – Praises His Resilience In Public Service

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has celebrated Vice-President Kashim Shettima on his birthday, describing him as an accomplished public servant and steadfast patriot.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement issued to mark Shettima’s birthday, Akpabio praised the Vice-President’s career in public service, spanning his time as a commissioner, governor of Borno State, senator and vice-president.

Akpabio said Shettima’s tenure as Borno governor came during one of the most difficult periods in the state’s history, when terrorism posed a major challenge to the people and the Nigerian state.

He commended Shettima for remaining committed to his duties during the period, saying he demonstrated resilience and leadership in the face of adversity.

The Senate president also praised Shettima’s role as vice-president, saying he had brought his experience and patriotic commitment to the service of the country.

Akpabio described Shettima’s partnership with President Bola Tinubu in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda as an example of the importance of unity of purpose at the highest level of government.

He said the Vice-President’s birthday was an opportunity to celebrate not only another year of his life but also his years of service to Nigeria.

“On behalf of my family, my constituents and the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I wish you many more years of good health, wisdom, strength and fulfilment,” Akpabio said.

He prayed for continued guidance and strength for Shettima and expressed hope that Nigeria would become more peaceful, prosperous and respected among nations.

“Happy Birthday, Mr Vice President. May God bless you, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Akpabio added.
