Two students of Glory Land Academy, Igarra, in Edo State, Southern Nigeria, have been abducted.
Gatekeepers News reports that the students of Glory Land Academy were abducted along Igarra-Auchi Road on Tuesday evening.
Our source said that the vehicle in which the students were travelling with some adults was intercepted at gunpoint, as the abductors dragged the students from the vehicle into the bush.
The school authority or the students’ parents had yet to be contacted by the kidnappers as at the time of filing this report.
The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Kontongs Bello, who confirmed the incident added that police operatives, soldiers and vigilantes were already combing the bush to rescue the abducted kids.
He said, “Two of the students were kidnapped but efforts are on to rescue them unhurt. Men of the Nigeria police, soldiers and vigilantes are already combing the bush to rescue the students.”
