Tank farm located at Koko town in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria went up in flames on Saturday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta Command, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the development to newsmen in Warri.
The tank farm is operated by Ebeco Global Link.
“The situation has been brought under control,” Edafe said, adding that one person sustained injuries and there was no report of any death.
A local source said that the incident which occurred in the morning caused panic among residents before firefighters intervened and brought the fire under control.
The source also said that the cause of the incident had not been established.
