National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reversed the suspension of the former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose; former Governor of Katsina, Ibrahim Shema; former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim; Prof. Dennis Ityavyar and Aslam Aliyu.

Gatekeepers News reports that the NWC has also reversed the referral of the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom to the National Disciplinary Committee. The party had referred Ortom to the disciplinary committee over alleged anti-party activities.

The development was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary of PDP.

According to him, the decision was without prejudice to the powers of the NWC to take disciplinary action against any member of the Party at any time pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017).

It said the NWC charged all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the Party across the country to be guided by the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017) as well as the new spirit and necessity of reconciliation, unity and harmony in the Party at this critical time.

The party urged members to remain focused as they continued to take every necessary action to recover the stolen mandate freely given by Nigerians to Party Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Gatekeepers News reports that the development comes days after a High Court in Makurdi stopped Iyorchia Ayu from parading himself as the party’s National Chairman.
