The town of Uromi in Edo State came to a standstill as Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, laid his father-in-law to rest.
Gatekeepers News reports that dignitaries from various sectors, including prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, gathered to pay their final respects at the funeral ceremony.
The event was a solemn occasion marked by condolences, support, and prayers for the departed soul.
During the ceremony, Dr. Umakhihe received expressions of sympathy and solidarity from friends, well-wishers, and political associates, underscoring the strong bonds he has forged both personally and professionally.
The presence of key APC figures reflects the high regard and esteem in which Dr. Umakhihe is held within his community and political circles.
Some of the dignitaries that graced the event include, Edo state APC deputy state chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, Edo central APC Chairman, Chief Francis Inegbeneki, Hon. Abdulganiyu Lawal (Abu Millionaire), APC 2020 Deputy Governorship candidate, Hon Gani Audu.
