UEL Final: Villarreal Defeat Manchester United In Penalty Shootout

Villarreal have defeated Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final through a penalty shootout.

Gatekeepers News reports that Manchester United have lost to Villarreal in the Europa League final after all outfield players scored spot-kicks.

Villarreal’s goalkeeper, Geronimo Rulli saved Manchester United’s De Gea’s kick to win the shootout 11-10.

Gerard Moreno of the Yellow Submarines launched the score sheet of the night after a strike at the 29th minute which gave them an edge over united.

Edinson Cavani of the Reds, however, equalised in the second half at the 55th minute.

The match after 30 minutes of extra time ended up in a draw which led to a penalty shootout.

All outfield players scored their spot-kicks, but fortunately for Villarreal, Geronimo Rulli saved De Gea’s penalty to win the shootout 11-10.

The Yellow Submarines were crowned Champions in front of 9,500 fans at the Stadion Miejsk in Gdansk, Poland.

The Red, unfortunately, disappointed the club’s Legend and former coach, Alex Ferguson, and Former Player of the club, Wayne Rooney who travelled down to see the match live.
