Zidane Exits Real Madrid As Conte Quits Inter Milan

Zinedine Zidane and Anthonio Conte have quit their jobs at Real Madrid and Inter Milan respectively.

Gatekeepers News reports that Zinedine Zidane has quit his Real Madrid job with immediate effect bringing to an end his second stint as the manager of the team.

The 48-year-old Frenchman who earlier exited Real returned to Bernabeu in March 2019.

Zidane’s second departure has been announced after a disappointing season which started with a shocking defeat to Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey in January.

Gatekeepers News gathered that he was able to bounce back by winning a LaLiga Santander title and a Supercopa de Espana.

Unfortunately, Real’s race to Champions League was ended by a defeat to Chelsea at the Semis. They also lost out to rivals Atlético Madrid in a title race that went to the final day.

In a related development, Antonio Conte has left his position as Inter Milan coach, three weeks after winning the Coppa Italia.

The Club disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday:

“FC Internazionale Milano can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Antonio Conte for the termination of his contract by mutual consent.

“The club would like to thank Antonio for the extraordinary work that he has done, culminating in Inter’s 19th top-flight title. Antonio Conte will forever remain a part of our Club’s history.”

There have therefore been speculations that the exit of the two coaches can cost Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his job.The Norwegian was at the edge of breaking the club’s four years of no trophy spell at the Europa League final in Gdansk but lost in an 11-10 shootout.

Gatekeeper News gathered that Solskjaer has been unable to record any title for the Reds since he was appointed the full-time manager in 2019.
