Arsene Wenger has rated N’Golo Kante as the best midfielder in Europe.
Gatekeepers News reports that former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has ranked Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante as the best midfielder in Europe, following his outstanding performance in the recent UEFA Champions League final against Man City.
Wenger said the 30-year-old Frenchman has proved beyond doubt that he’s the best all-around midfielder in Europe.
His performances which earned him the Man of the Match in both legs of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, as well as the final against Manchester City, have led to calls for him to win the Ballon d’Or.
The former Arsenal boss has therefore called the Chelsea star an exceptional ball winner.
Wenger said, “N’Golo Kante has added something to his game.
“Before he won the ball and made a good pass, he was an exceptional ball winner.
“I say an exceptional ball-winner because he wins decisive balls without making a foul.
“But he is now capable of running with the ball and making a good pass in the final third.
“That’s why I am certain he is the best all-round midfielder in Europe at the moment.”
