Ex-Arsenal and West Bromwich goalkeeper Alan Miller has died.
Gatekeepers News reports that West Bromwich Albion has announced the death of their former goalkeeper, Alan Miller.
Miller who died at 51, played for Arsenal, Middlesbrough, and Blackburn during a 15-year career from 1988 to 2003.
He won the FA Cup and League Cup with Arsenal in 1993, as well as the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1994.
West Brom said they were “desperately saddened” at the news of his passing.
Similarly, Middlesbrough expressed their sorrow at the news and said their thoughts were with Miller’s “family and friends at this time”.
The deceased had represented clubs on a host of loan deals throughout his career.
Plymouth Argyle – where he played during the 1988-89 season – tweeted that they were “deeply saddened” by his death.
He helped Middlesbrough win the old First Division to claim promotion to the Premier League in 1995.
Miller after spending three years at West Brom from 1997-2000, joined Blackburn Rovers and was part of the squad that won the League Cup in 2002.
