NCDC Records 11 New COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases.

Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 6 June 2021, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to 166,767.

The 11 new cases were reported from 3 states- Lagos (9), FCT (1), and Kano (1)

Since the outbreak on 27 February 2020, a total of 2,117 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 163,096 have recovered and have been discharged.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,966,128 persons have received the first shot of their jab, while 336,501 Nigerians vaccinated with 1st dose have collected their 2nd dose.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) disclosed this in its COVID-19 Vaccination Update for 6 June 2021.
